The American Legion Preamble reminds us why we veterans gather. While we often hear that diversity is strength, unguided strength is wasted without its energy being used for a common goal.
There’s nothing quite as amazing as a group moving together to accomplish their goals. Each person willingly dedicates their skills and resources to the task at hand to get the job done. We are a diverse group, following the 4 pillars of the American Legion that guides us to those common goals. By reciting it together, we affirm to ourselves and our comrades the reason we gather in friendship, and the goals we want to attain together.
